One of Microsoft’s newest technologies from the Skype division, https://web.skype.com , is made publicly available recently. While it’s still in beta, it’s available in 30 languages, of which also Dutch;
Supported languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, English, German, Greek, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional.
With Skype Web, it’s possible to IM, plus make and receive Skype voice + video calls from within the web browser. Please note Skype Web is for the “consumer” version (not Skype for Business, which has its online webbrowser meeting experience for several years already) All major browsers are supported: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Only a small plug-in needed when voice- or video is used.
